Linda holds workshops and lectures for both students and professionals in the topics of indigo dyeing and natural dyeing as well as pattern making with different pattern techniques such as shibori and resist pr techniques. Shibori is a Japanese word for folding, stitching, weeping, compressing, pleating and in different ways to resist the surface from getting dyed. In 2020, she also initiated and run the project "From seed to dye" at Capellagården. In which we have researched and dyed with the flora from Öland and also cultivate dye plants on a larger scale. Read more under "FROM SEED TO DYE".
For nearly 20 years Linda has studied different indigo dyeing methods in India, Vietnam and Japan. Most recently she attended a natural dyeing workshop for the master dyer Michel Garcia at Konstfack. She was invited as an "Artist in Residence" in Ajrakhpur, Kutch in India November 2019. Where she explored and documented the use of natural pigments in combination with traditional block printing and resist dyeing with indigo and other natural pigments.
In 2018 Linda took a master class for Aboubakar Fofana in Athens. His vision and indigo practise is a great inspiration of hers. Read more about Aboubakar Fofana at; www.aboubakarfofana.com
