Linda Zetterman is a textile artist, designer and dyer. She is situated at wip:sthlm, one of Sweden's biggest studio collectives with 80 members, all active artists, craftspeople and designers.
She strives to find sustainable solutions for both humans and nature in her practice. Her work connects diverse practices, materials and techniques and ranges from product design, art projects and crafted objects. Linda is one of two founders of Boom craft studio who collaborates with textile artisans in Kutch, India. The studio is making limited editions of high quality textiles and pigments with a clear presence of the hand. Her design process most often starts with a curiosity in a certain material or technique that leads her towards the final aesthetic outcome. In her artistic practice she explores materiality and natural hues through plant pigments and investigating interactive art projects that involves the whole process from seed to dye.
Linda also conducts workshops and lectures on the topics of indigo and natural dyeing in combination with different pattern techniques such as shibori, resist print etc. She has more than twenty years of experience in indigo dyeing, which she has studied in both India, Japan and Vietnam.
